Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer to The One Direction band. Harry Styles was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1 1994, and is the child of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where together with three students, he formed his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. Following their victory in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to a stellar performance, they were also a part of the Battle of Bands in the Battle of Bands 2010. Although he has an interest in music the man also had a dream of becoming a lawyer or the profession of physiotherapist. He was employed in an area bakery on a part-time basis in order to provide for his family. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This is why his band broke up. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles join the group that was to be dubbed One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group. They were first formed in 2010. The group sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would be Sucking Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler Total Eclipse of the Heart. The result, they made it to the finalist. However, they came in third, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles did not receive an award, but Cowell offered a 2-million-pound deal to One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
