Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a Greek-American author, syndicated journalist as well as a businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a TV host, journalist, philanthropist and author for more than 10 years. She is also the owner of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Her move out of Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. First foreign-born graduate to hold the position of president of the highly regarded debate group The Cambridge Union, at age 21 she took over the position. A conservative syndicated blogger following her graduation, she became a voice of the Huffington Post. It was possible for her to recruit many prominent contributors to share their thoughts about politics and culture. Arianna became famous after she decided to become an Independent Candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed former Governor Davis. In addition, she directed an Detroit initiative to encourage vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes named her as 12th on its list for the Most Influential Media Women. Guardian also included the Huffington Post in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. Then she was appointed the head of the AOL media group. The group included several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is the daughter born to Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. Although she was a close friend to her father it was her relationship with her mother that formed her life. Even during her formative years, she exhibited abilities to lead, and for this are still prominently known. When she was in her 16th year she returned to the UK to pursue her studies and was enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. As a student, she joined the Cambridge Union, a college debate club. The third female president, and also the first foreigner she served as the head for the Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with the degree of Master in Economics. Following the graduation ceremony, she worked as a critic columnist and television host.
