Her role as Willie Scott (an American nightclub singer and performer) in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), that was directed by her husband Steven Spielberg, is her most well-known. She has appeared in Dreamscape (1984), Power(1986), SpaceCamp(1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (94), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). The work of her portraits has been displayed in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), a beauty and travel agent, and Edwin Leon Nail, an airline employee. [4] She was five years old when she moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw obtained a degree in education from the University of Missouri, where she was a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught special education at Southern Boone High School, Ashland, Missouri, as in Rock Bridge High School, Columbia, Missouri.
